These are group runs that have gone on regularly for some time or are coordinated by reliable club members. They are not official BRRC programs, and you may want to confirm the program status if you are interesting in participating.
JHU Fieldhouse/Roland Avenue
5:30 PM Wednesday evenings
Throughout the year runners meet at the Johns Hopkins University field house on Wednesdays at 5:30PM for a 6 mile group run up Roland Avenue to Lake Avenue, then back to Hopkins. If six miles is a little too far (or not far enough), chances are you'll find someone happy to cut it short (or willing to tack on a few more miles). After the run the group retires to PJs Pub on Charles Street for beer, pizza, and war stories.
Goucher College
6:30 PM Tuesday & Thursday evenings
Club members meet throughout the year on Tuesday and Thursday evenings to run various distances and paces. Some participants are beginners continuing after completion of the BRRC Beginning Runners Program, some are experienced, competitive runners, and some have marathon goals.
Goucher College is kind enough to allow the public to use its grounds for health and fitness activities. The campus allows road running, trail running, and track access for approved events. Please respect all campus rules and restrictions that allow Goucher to make access available to area runners.
Runners typically park near the gymnasium and congregate at the track. Follow the signs for "Athletic Facilities" upon entering the campus (map)
