In the Community

BRRC is committed to community involvement, supporting local efforts of Back on My Feet and Marathon Kids. Our partnership with Goucher College affords us the privilege of hosting activities and events on its campuses such as our summer track series and training programs. In exchange we strive to support volunteer requests for cross country and track and field meets on their campus. We log many volunteer hours sharing our knowledge and expertise of race directing and management around the metro area.

We offer a scholarship program for high school seniors. The Charlie Reynolds Memorial Scholarship, named for BRRC’s late president and Calvert Hall College’s cross country and track coach, recognizes graduating high school student-athletes (male and female) who exemplify Charlie’s commitment to and passion for running. Applications are available online and can be submitted to the Club with complete documentation for committee evaluation. Award winners will be notified in May and recognized at our annual picnic awards ceremony.

Numerous opportunities exist to become involved in our community activities as a volunteer, If you are interested, please contact us at info@brrc.com.
