The Baltimore Road Runners Club (BRRC) wants to make sure you have every opportunity to run with the Greater Baltimore running community. Here is our updates on running opportunities for the weekend and near future.
Saturday
NCR Trail Snails
The Trail Snails are back this week at the NCR Trail. No one knows the NCR as well as the Snails. The Snails meet at the Mile 0 marker at Ashland road. This is 1/4 mile east of York road off of Paper Mill Road. Ashland Rd leads to a small parking lot. Quiet voices are encouraged to avoid annoying local home occupants. Various paces are likely- perfect for new runners as well as moderately faster runners. Unlimited mileage potentials, so pick your distance. Mile markers are generally accurate. 7:30 am start. Pacemakers
The Pacemakers is a great group that meets in different areas of Baltimore City and County. Bob Hilson has mapped out every inch of the Baltimore area and knows every small coffee shop and diner. The group varies from 20-50 on any given Saturday and a runner can usually find a suitable pace with others. Bob also has a written direction map for those who might need it. And, as an extra bonus- he collects old but usable running shoes to be shipped to Haiti. Here is Bob’s info for this week:
Yo, The Run is on for Saturday, an easy fall-like stroll through parts of the Waverly, Ednor Gardens, Charles Village, Morgan State University, Druid Hill Park, Lake Montebello, Hampden and Remington communities.
The party begins at 7 a.m. from the Towson Hot Bagels joint, 3208 St. Paul St., and offers pleasing distances of 3, 6.6, 10, 14.6, 15, 17 and 20 miles.
Patterson Park 5K and Homebrew Contest
December 2. 11 am Fun Run, 11:30 am 5K,

BRRC Annual Meeting
December 4th, 6 pm
Towson Library Lower Level Meeting Room
The 2023 Annual Membership Meeting of the Baltimore Road Runners Club will be held December 4, 2023 at 6pm in the lower level meeting room. We will present GPS Awards, give a membership update, treasurer update, and elect new officers for the 2024 year. Food and drink provided.
Dan Farrell will have a Race Director meeting at 5:30 pm to discuss the 2024 Race Schedule and discuss how the BRRC can better support our race directors. WE ENCOURAGE ANYONE DIRECTING A RACE IN 2024 TO ATTEND. And, if you ever considered being a Race Director or Co-Race Director please come to this meeting and we will get you oriented.

Let’s gather from 5:30-6:00 PM at 1700 Union Ave Suite D, Baltimore, MD 21211, for signing in. Thanks to Pariah Brewing for hosting us! No advance day signups, everyone signs in with BRRC at Pariah.
We will leave en mass at 6:00 PM. The Highlight of our Run is the Miracle on 34th Street Christmas Lights. We will have our traditional 2 mile walk, 3 mile run, and 4 mile run distances, staying in groups and accommodating all paces. All groups gather up at one mile to go, at the corner of Chestnut and 34th, directly across the street from the 34th St Christmas Lights. Let’s aim to be back at Pariah Brewing and done running at about 7:00. BRRC will be treated to the great Pariah drafts while your generous budget lasts with pizza provided by the club. There are also excellent food truck options available on site.
Dress Warm for the Happy Hour! Be seen, be safe and let’s celebrate the running lifestyle.

BRRC Track Workouts
Track workouts for all at Carver High School in Towson on Thursday Nights. These workouts are suitable for all runners. Our Fall Training Groups have completed, but the track workouts are up and running! 7 pm start, so get there a bit early to stretch and warm up. Carver Center for Arts and Technology is at 908 York Road, 21204.
