BRRC’s Annual Winter Solstice 34th Street Run And Happy Hour
December 16 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Looking to bring in the Holiday Season with a BRRC fun run? Here’s your chance! BRRC members, volunteers, and member wannabes, it is all about you! Runners are encouraged to wear their favorite holiday swag
But first… renew your BRRC membership for 2021!
We will meet in the parking lot of Waverly Brewing, 1625 Union Avenue, for a festive group run. The destination is the Miracle on 34th Street Christmas Lights. We will stay in groups and accommodate all paces. Before we head back to Waverly, we will reconvene in front of Rocket to Venus. This is at the southwest corner of Chestnut and 34th, directly across the street from the 34th St Christmas Lights. Nobody will be left behind! We will aim to be back at Waverly and done running at about 7:00. If you cannot make the run, no worries! You are welcome to meet us at Waverly at 7:00 to indulge in some terrific local craft beer. We will be treated while your generous BRRC budget lasts to the great Waverly drafts and pizza provided by the club.
Tis The Season of Giving:
During this holiday season BRRC will be collecting new and gently used books for our Holiday Book Drive. We are collecting elementary age books (pre-k through 5, ages 4-11). The books will be donated to predominately low-income elementary schools in Baltimore City by providing several classrooms with a book for each student to take home plus books for classroom libraries.
Your donations will be collected at our BRRC Winter Solstice 34th Street Run and Happy Hour (December 16, 2020). If you are unable to join and would like to donate, please let us know (Valencia Hike at firstname.lastname@example.org) . Thank you in advance for your donation.
Here’s the route. It will be dark, please remember to wear your night running gear.
Street Route – 4.1 miles
Short Route – For those who want to walk from Union to 34th St and back, this is the shortest route.
