A mild winter hopefully makes for a beautiful spring,
so, let’s get pumped for the Freeland 15K, ring a ding ding!
Times will be fast and PR’s may fall,
but you must toe the line and see who stands tall!
For a change of season’s we ran this race last fall,
but the Easter Peeps want to return and see all.
As in the few years past we will run north up through New Freedom, Pa.,
and then finish back where you started the Maryland way!
Sunday, March 29th the race will take place,
with Registration starting at 7 a.m. and at 8 a.m. the Race!
Come one, come all and be ready to run,
as some friendly competition is always fun!
Freeland 15K is the 3rd Race of BRRC’s Grand Prix Series,
but we welcome all runners to take part in the race fury!
Race Fees are nominal $15 for Non-Club Members and Free to those representing BRRC,
though Donations are Greatly Appreciated, to offset race expenses like a post-race cookie!
Refreshments and edible delights will await you after crossing the finish line,
so, run your best race and don’t be the last to dine!
Yes, there will be cookies, bagels and Fresh Fruit again,
and the Easter Peeps will be there waiting your return!
This will be a more low key race than in years past,
and will have a few awards for the most fast!
If your not a current club member, there’s still time to join
or show up race day and bring a little coin!
Volunteers will be needed as they usually are,
so, contact Vicki or Christian and we will help pack up your car,
We’ll need help for Registration, Finish Line and along the trail,
for 1 Water Stop and road crossings in New Freedom alongside the rail!
Vicki and I couldn’t do it without all of you,
as your support makes our race a success because of all you do,
Runners participation and Volunteers keeping our runners hydrated and their safety in mind,
