This year’s races begin at 8:30AM on Saturday November 24th.
The marathon is the MD RRCA State Trail Marathon Championship and was profiled in the January 2009 issue of Runner’s World magazine as an alternate marathon you should consider.

The trail winds along the Gunpowder River, through quiet farmland. The start is at historic Oldfields School and will go downhill on Glencoe Rd. approximately .8 miles to the NCR trail where it will turn right onto the trail and will go out along the NCR trail to the turn around and then come back along the trail to finish on the trail back at Glencoe Rd. making this course the fastest Boston Qualifier for hundreds of miles.
