Training Programs

The Baltimore Road Runners Club offers Training Programs throughout the year.  These programs are targeted to the experience level of runners (i.e. beginner, intermediate) and are scheduled to prepare runners for a target race.

BRRC Training Programs are directed by RRCA-trained coaches who are members of the Club and runners themselves.  Other Club members help with the programs as volunteers.

If you are a new or experienced runner looking for a disciplined approach to training, we welcome your participation in our programs.  There is no cost to participate but Club membership is required.

Current BRRC Training Programs include:

Corrigan Sports has partnered with BRRC to be the provider of training for the races in the King Crab Challenge as well as 5K’s at the Frederick Running Festival and Baltimore Running Festival.  As part of this partnership,  Corrigan is offering an exclusive deal for the Baltimore Road Runners Club Training Program members.   Registered members of the Training Program can receive $10 off each of the King Crab Challenge race or the 5K races. You can combine these offers to get up to total of $30 in discounts!  This offer is only available to participants of the training programs.  Access to the training programs at no additional cost is part of the BRRC membership.  Click on the links above for information on the training plans.

FREDERICK RUNNING FESTIVAL – Tucked away in the suburbs of Washington, D.C., the Frederick Running Festival is one of the hidden gems of the running community. Part of the running landscape for nearly 20 years, the festival features four races, which all finish at the Frederick Fairgrounds. Runners can experience a big time race with small town charm with the added value of off-site packet pick-up in the suburbs of Maryland. Not to mention a top of the line premium, free race photos, free parking and more!

THE BALTIMORE 10 MILER – With its early June race date, The Baltimore 10-Miler is a perfect bridge from late Spring to Summer. A challenging yet fair course, the 10-Miler takes participants through parts of Baltimore that are often not appreciated when driving through them. The premiums for this race never disappoint and the post-race party – with live Jimmy Buffet music in 2019- is a great reward for completing the race. Not to mention the cold towels, fresh watermelon and icy craft beer that are icing on the cake.

BALTIMORE RUNNING FESTIVAL – Charm City’s 19th Annual Running Festival offers races that never disappoint! From the furry cheerleaders at Maryland’s Zoo to the beautiful finish at the Baltimore Inner Harbor, runners are sure to have quite the unique and memorable experience. They’ll tour every corner of the city while tackling some challenging (yet respectable!) hills, that only make the post-race festivities all the more amazing and certainly well-earned!
