Freeland 15K IV (finally!)
Wow, it has been 3 years since the last running of the Freeland 15K,
as we were the first BRRC race to fall to the Corona Virus dismay!
While many of us have mourned the loss of friends or loved ones to the virus,
we have had to push forward and find the strength in all of us!
We are back to racing at full tilt now,
so, let’s get it on to compete for Win, Place and Show!
As Spring is now in the air and blossoms have emerged on trees,
it is time to push yourselves and bring your competition to their knees!
Sunday, April 24th the race will take place,
with only day of registration starting at 7 a.m. and at 8 a.m. the Race!
Come one, come all, bring a friend and be ready to run,
as some friendly competition is always more fun!
Come to the Freeland Park- n-Ride,
then we make our way to the starting line to begin your stride.
You will make your way on the NCR Trail to New Freedom, Pa.,
hit the turn around and then it’s time to negative split along your way!
The Freeland 15K is a BRRC Grand Prix Series race,
but all runners are accepted, so show up with your game face!
The race is Free to all current BRRC members and a nominal $15 cash only for non-Club Runners,
with Donations being greatly appreciated for post-race treats for all runners
Refreshments and edible delights will await you after crossing the finish line,
so, run your best race and don’t be the last to dine!
There will be bagels, chips, cookies, granola bars and fresh fruit waiting,
which gives you more reason to lace them up and to be participating!
This will be a more low-key race than in years past,
and we’ll have a few awards for the most fast!
If you’re not a current club member, there’s still time to join,
or show up race day and bring a little coin!
Volunteers will be needed as they usually are,
so, contact Vicki or Christian and we will help pack up your car,
We’ll need help for Registration, Finish Line and along the trail,
for 1 Water Stop and road crossings in New Freedom alongside the rail!
Vicki and I couldn’t do the race without all of you,
as your support makes our race a success because of all you do!
Runner’s participation and Volunteers keeping our runners hydrated with safety in mind,
we would like to thank you in advance for those who will offer their efforts and time!
